Holiday Community Outreach: Ways to Help

The Little School is asking for your help with the following initiatives in this season of giving! We appreciate your consideration and any/all donations.

North Reading Food Pantry Holiday Baskets

We are collecting items for the NR Food Pantry holiday baskets. Each classroom has been assigned an item to be included in the food basket. Cash donations are also accepted and will be used for perishables and any additional items that might be needed. We will be collecting for the food baskets through the end of the day on Tuesday, 12/14. We will have collection boxes outside of the school (including the live-drop off in the morning (unless it's raining or snowing).

If you are interested in purchasing items for the holiday baskets, please check the classroom specific list below for a “per child donation.” Our goal is to provide 17 full meals to local families.

  • Pre-Kindergarten (Hall): 1 Gallon Apple Juice

  • Pre-Kindergarten including RISE (Michaud): 1 Jar of Pickles

  • Kindergarten (Kasle): 1 Box of Brownie Mix

  • Kindergarten including RISE (Nickerson): 1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust

  • Grade 1 (Barrett): 1 Box of Tea

  • Grade 1 (Elwell): 1 Box of Quick Bread Mix (for example: banana, corn, blueberry, etc.)

  • Grade 1 including RISE (Kelly): 1 Can of Coffee

  • Grade 2 (Brennan): 2 Cans of Green Beans

  • Grade 2 (Fabian): 2 Cans of Cranberry Sauce

  • Grade 2 (McCarthy): 2 Cans of Corn

  • Grade 3 (Lynch): 2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • Grade 4 (Gates): 2 Stuffing Mixes

  • Grade 4 (Milone): 2 Cans/Jars of Turkey Gravy

  • Grade 4 (Reed): 2 Cans of Crispy Onions

  • Grade 5 (O’Brien): Cash for Perishable Items (and additional items.)

  • Grade 5 (Polcari): Cash for Perishable Items (and additional items.)

Toys for Tots

We are collecting new unwrapped toys for the "Toys for Tots" drive (in collaboration with the NR Fire Department). Donations will be accepted through the end of the day on 12/15. We will have a collection box at the live-drop off each morning (unless it's raining/snowing).

The Foster Box

We are collecting clothing and other needed items for "The Foster Box," a program for parents who need last minute supplies when accepting a child into their care. The collection box is located in the main lobby.  We will collect items through 12/23.
